Another country - another launch! On the biggest tourism trade fair in the world, the ITB Berlin, the Retirement and Healthcare Coalition launched its "Long Stay Visitor Program" for the German market.
180.000 visitors, more than 100.000 trade visitors, 11.000 exhibitors from 180 countries and the biggest congress on tourism makes ITB THE trade fair for the tourism industry.
Visitors who passed by hall 26 could see more then 20 exhibitors fro the Philippines participating in the 3000m2 booth organized by the Department of Tourism. Next to the multiple awarded El Nido Resorts, new participants from the tourism branch could be seen. For the first time the newly build "Atmosphere Resort" (Dauin) and the Bellarocca Resort (Marinduque) participated. DOT and the SPA Association of the Philippines also stressed the new developments in the Spa- and Wellness sector. In its effort to promote the Philippines as Spa and Wellness destination, visitors where able to try out the famous Hilot massage for free! The Philippine Retirement authority promoted the country successfully as a retirement haven to the public in Germany and created awareness of its Special Residential Retirees Visa (SRRV)
Once more, ICCRHC promoted together with DOT the Philippines as a long stay destination for senior citizens. The brochure of the "Long Stay Visitor Program" was distributed at the main information counter and the visitors where informed on the program. The program was also introduced to the Philippine Embassy which is in support of the "Long Stay Visitor Program". The brochure will be handed out at the Embassy as well as in the DTI branch in Berlin.
ICCRHC received positive feedback from visitors and trade visitors, was able to start new partnerships and created awareness of the Philippines as retirement destination.
